The HAM-TMC Interlibrary Loan service provides you with book/audiovisual loans and high-quality copies of documents (primarily journal articles and book chapters) from materials NOT OWNED by the HAM-TMC Library.

Who Can Use Interlibrary Loan?

Cardholders and Non-Cardholders alike are welcome to use the Interlibrary Loan service.  Non-Cardholders may only request non-returnables (i.e., journal articles or book chapters, etc.). There are fees associated with Interlibrary Loan.

Payment Methods

You may pay by cash, check, credit card, Grant/PO number, or by invoice (HCMS Physicians and faculty only).

How Long Does It Take?

Our standard turnaround time for Interlibrary Loan requests is 4-6 days, depending on where we obtain the requested material.  Rush delivery is available for an additional fee.  Our "Local  Library" network consists of a large number of libraries both in-state and out-of-state with whom we have service agreements.  Requests supplied from the Local Library network are usually received within 2-3 days.  Approximately 2/3 of our requests are supplied from our "Local Library" network.

The Photocopy/Interlibrary Loan Department at HAM-TMC Library adheres to the required provisions of US Copryight Law.  Please carefully read the copyright statement on the request form.  For more information on copyright, visit the websites of the US Copyright Office or the Copyright Clearance Center .

How Do I Place A Request?

You must use our online requesting system. New users are required to register with the system before requesting materials. The registration process is free and takes only a few minutes to complete.
