About Lending Services

The HAM-TMC Library provides borrowing libraries with extensive interlibrary loan services.  The HAM-TMC Library is pleased to be able to assist other libraries in fulfilling the information needs of their patrons. The HAM-TMC Library also serves as the Regional Medical Library for the South Central Region of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NN/LM SCR).

Who Can Use Lending Services?

Any library who needs loans or photocopies from the HAM-TMC Library's collection may request Lending Services.  There are fees associated with Lending Services.

Payment Methods

Libraries using HAM-TMC's Lending Services may pay by OCLC IFM, EFTS, or by monthly invoice. EFTS and IFM methods are preferred. All payments must be in US dollars.  You can pay invoices via credit card if you wish.

How Do I Place A Request?

We accept requests via DOCLINE, OCLC, FAX and US MAIL (ALA-form).  Requests for RUSH service should be entered on the appropriate system (DOCLINE or OCLC), then a copy of the request should be faxed to our office.

What Is the Loan Period? The Renewal Period?

Materials borrowed from the HAM-TMC Library may be kept for three (3) weeks.  Items may be renewed for an additional two (2) weeks.

Materials That Do NOT Circulate

Our serials (bound and unbound), and materials from our Special Collections do not circulate.

How Will I Receive Materials?

A wide variety of delivery methods are available:
Whenever possible, we will ship your materials to you via your preferred method, or the method listed in your request.
